Yep, that's my face
Welcome to my site! I would like to invite you into my life so that you can get a glimpse of who I am and what i'm all about. In the twenty one years i've lived on this earth, I have discovered the things that really make me tick. I enjoy cooking, listening to music, working with my hands, projects, helping people, my family, my fiance, talking with and listening to others, watching movies, comedy, and most importantly, strengthening my faith. Now, this is not everything that I enjoy, but I feel that these are the things that shape and make up my identity. I'm the type of person that starts on a project and refuses to walk away until i've completed it. It only fuels my determination if I become stumped in the middle of a task. For example, not too long ago my television completely quit on me. I was sitting down, watching a movie, when there was a loud pop from behind the TV. Because i'm kind of nerd when it comes to working on electronics, I began to immediately perform operation on this ridiculously heavy combination of plastic and metal. After spending several hours dissecting and researching the many different parts that make up this television, I concluded that the problem could be coming from three different areas. I ordered a new part for the first area, waited a week for it to arrive, installed it, and discovered that it was not the source of the problem. I ordered a new part for the second area with the same results, not a match. Finally, on the third try I felt like Dr. Frankenstein as I heard the familiar chime of my television turning on. I tell you this not to brag of my achievement, but to show you that I am a determined individual who sees the worth in fixing things that break down instead of just throwing them out. Sometimes it takes getting down on the projects level and dissecting it to truly see the problem.
I am originally from Brock, Texas, but I currently live in Denton, TX while currently working on my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Marketing at the University of North Texas. I will be graduating in December 2015. I am currently engaged to my beautiful and loving fiancé Kylie, who provides amazing support and is my partner in this crazy life. We will be married in June of 2015.
I am a hard working person who loves to be a part of a team and build each other up. I really enjoy getting to know other people and seeing what makes us all unique. I work diligently and effectively and enjoy trying new things. I have a strong work ethic as well as a sense of humor. I truly believe that laughter can be one of the most effective methods to increase productivity. I take pride in my work and enjoy getting up each day knowing that there is another project out there waiting to be started.

Volunteer Experience
Our Daily Bread, Denton, TX
In November of 2014, I volunteered at the Our Daily Bread soup kitchen at the Denton Lutheran Church in Denton, Texas. Our Daily Bread operates as a nonprofit soup kitchen, which caters to the needy in the Denton community. The organization has operated as such for the past fourteen years and has gone from being able to feed thirty people in a given sitting, to up to 300 people. For the past fourteen years, ODB has operated as a soup kitchen dedicated to serving those who need a hot meal and who need God. The people who make up the organization are humbled by the good deeds they can return to the community and volunteer sometimes daily in order to see that others be properly cared for.
Agape Cafe, Macon, MO
In October of 2014, I flew into Kansas City, Missouri to visit my fiancé for the weekend, she is attending Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Missouri. My fiancé is a part of the women’s basketball team at CCCB and one activity her and her teammates like to participate in is going around the area and helping small organizations with whatever they need. The team enjoys volunteering their time not only to help, but also to serve God. I learned upon arriving, that the following day I would be joining her and her team on one of these volunteering trips in a small community near Moberly. The program is called Agape Café, and their main mission is to provide a meals-on-wheels service for those who cannot afford to feed themselves, or who are physically unable to get out of their homes to go and eat. The program started as a once every couple of month’s dinner provided by anyone who was able to donate their time and a small amount of food and has grown into an every Saturday program dinner delivery service.
